U.S.-China Trade Negotiations

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer updated members of the House Ways and Means Committee on ongoing U.S.-China trade negotiations. He reiterated that any deal must be enforceable and address U.S. concerns that include intellectual property theft. Other topics included the United States-Mexico-Canada trade agreement often called USMCA, the Trump administration’s unilateral approach to trade policy and the impact of the trade war with China on various American industries.
